Polperro‘s working harbour supports a small fishing fleet, while
the sheltered waters beyond the harbour provide a
temporary haven for visiting yachts. Polperro is one
of the most picturesque coastal villages in Cornwall
with its deep sided valleys and a myriad of colour
washed cottages. The River Pol runs centrally down
through the village straddled by a variety of
bridges and cottages.
Beautiful Polperro with its interesting shops, art gallery, pubs
and restaurants is ideally situated as a starting
point for exploring the whole of Cornwall.
Close to home, the surrounding coastal towns of Fowey and Looe
and attractions such as the Eden Project, with its
huge tropical ‘biome’ glass houses, or the amazing
‘Lost Gardens of Heligan’ are just waiting to be

Lanhydrock House and Antony House for example offer
great days out for all the family. Of course, for
the hikers amongst you, the rugged Bodmin Moor is
only a short drive away.
